A Case was fabricated by management based on the 'evidence' of a lying UNISON representative and as a result, other employees were harassed, disciplined and even dismissed with no evidence against them.

Naturally, employees finding themselves in such a position expect their trade union to fight a corrupt employer on their behalf. But in this case, the union, UNISON, went to great lengths to collude with the council and spend the next nine years trying to suppress the truth - that their very own UNISON representative had cost the livelihoods of others with lies and deceit.

www.councilanddeveloper.net is a website that highlights how Erewash Borough Council has done nothing to enforce planning legislation in a case where an engineering company adversely possessed and developed a floodplain, despite prior knowledge that 15 homes would flood as a result, which lead to the displacement and homelessness of 34 neighbouring residents. 

Action by Erewash Borough Council could have prevented this flooding and they have still done nothing to remove the increased flood risk in a high-risk flood plain having worked alongside the developer from day one (to the detriment of the residents)
